The ingredients needed to make Meatballs:

  2. Get 5 links Italian Sausage Links
  3. Take 32 oz. Marinara Sauce
  4. Prepare 1 (8 oz.) Jar of Button Mushrooms
  5. Prepare 1 Large Egg
  6. Get 1/2 Cup Plain Dry Breadcrumbs
  7. Get 1/4 Cup Whole Milk
  8. Make ready 1/4 Parmesan-Romano Cheese grated
  9. Prepare 1 Tbsp Parsley preferably fresh chopped
  10. Get 3 cloves Garlic minced
  11. Take 1 tsp Oregano
  12. Prepare 1/2 tsp Fine Sea Salt
  13. Take 1/2 tsp Fine Cracked Black Pepper
  14. Get Olive Oil
  15. Make ready optional
  16. Get Penne Pasta
  17. Get Ricotta Cheese
  18. Make ready Extra Grated Parmesan-Romano Mic

Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Roll each square into a ball. Served plain or dressed in tangy tomato sauce, comfort food never tasted so good. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the panko and milk until combined.

Steps to make Meatballs:
  1. Use your bare hands. Have fun being messy. Be sure to wash them first.
  2. In a large mixing bowl add ground beef. Add bread crumbs and combine by rolling and mixing with hands lightly.
  3. Add milk and egg and mix again until liquid is absorbed into meat and and bread crumbs mixture.
  4. Add Parmesan-Romano cheese, parsley, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper and mix well.
  5. With hands, roll meat mixture into uniform balls roughly twice the size of a golf ball.
  6. In a pan, brown sausage lightly in olive oil and set aside.
  7. In same pan, on medium-high heat, brown the meatballs in small batches being careful not to over cook but leaving no pink spots. As they're completed, place them away from the heat.
  8. Slice sausage into small pieces.
  9. In a large pot, carefully place meatballs, drained mushrooms and small slices of sausage.
  10. Fill with marinara sauce until meatballs and sausage are just covered.
  11. Simmer for 2-3 hours. Stirring occasionally, but not during the first 45 minutes. Be gentle during stirring so that you don't break your meatballs.
  12. Serving suggestion: in a bowl, add meatballs, sausage and sauce over Penne Pasta. Add a dollop of Ricotta Cheese and sprinkle with grated Parmesan-Romano.

Add the ground beef, ground pork, garlic, eggs, Parmesan, fresh herbs, onion and Worcestershire sauce to the mixing bowl. The meatballs will not be fully cooked yet.
